woot

Yay, and woa, I didn't realize you hadn't done characters before this 0_0. Double props boy! double props. lol. I still lol out how Adam Philips the background looks. The sexy sexy backgrounds.

Marsume responds:

:D sexy sexy sexy sexy sexy....

Great style

That felt like a quality piece. I have to agree with TheReviewGuy, deal with the pauses. Perhaps just edit them out so it runs at a steady pace. Although I had no problem with them, apart from the falling scene.
Heh, I probably wouldn't say this is the start of an all new trend though. LazyMuffin has done a bunch of these.
But anyway, the toon made me laugh, and the animation didn't detract at all, it enhanced. And thats the main thing. Kudos!

McBean responds:

I'd agree, this isn't something that's really groundbreaking in terms of animating comedic skits. There actually was a 20 second tangent and a longer pause after he jumps from the tree that were cut out, so it could have been worse. I was allowed to take artistic liberties, but I feel like it's generally not my place to disrupt the storytelling aspect of the original bit.

pretty cool.

Pretty good for a random ass animation. Twas good. Ill definatly Be watching the next one.
What was the font you used for the credits?

MarcyVF responds:

It's called Benny Blanco, from dafont.com :)

heh heh

I think the overall time should be extended. Because I got more fun out of zooming on on stuff that would undoubtably call me a faggot, clicking buttons that would also call me a faggot, and reading witty credits which would somehow point out im a faggot.
It was a crack up toon. Although the animation was god awful, it was still great. I lolled at the way the dad had to explain the joke.

midimachine responds:

I've always believed that an animation can get away with being techincally sub-par if the writing is up to scratch. Thanks for the review :)

ah joy!

I love cartoons done like this. It was like you were going all out experimenting and fiddling with the style. I enjoyed watching. Then sun made me laugh when it was stuck outside the window.
Looking forward to part 2 if you ever decide to finish it.

Bobert-Rob responds:

I will, it's just something I'm taking my time with. I want it to be as good as it can be. Thanks for watching!

wow yay

teehee, I like your taste in music, I have been listening to Ben Folds a lot lately and when I saw the title of your toon I was like yay. And it didnt surprise me that you used an animal/rodent type creature. Considering what movie that songs used on. Anyway, enough of that. Thats awesome for a first animation! I usually dread peoples first toons, but this is great. You show really good control of filters etc. My only advice right now would be to preview your movies a lot to pick up bugs etc. Like the flashing red on the characters back. Easily fixed, if only you had seen it.
P.s. please don't do a fanimation of zelda! Your skills would be far better used on original projects!

kawaiiminda responds:

why thank you very much! -^__^-

and lol sorry but the Zelda video is in progress already lol!

hey not to shabby

Watching that reminded me of all the old classics, Waterman, Spacetree and College university. Sigh, I'm gonna go look at the earlier episodes now. Hope you continue the series. It finished with me having a happy feeling. Ha ha, not many cartoons stir that sorta emotion in me.

Uptown-SlimJim responds:

Thanks. Being compared to the old classics like that means a lot. Glad I got to tug at your heartstrings

Lulz

Yea thats a music video through and through (with a story line as well, yay)
It was probably a good idea to have that bit of backstory, cause I think I would have been wondering why he got A's for killing his roomy.
Well anyway, cool tune, it gave the toon good momentum. The only point it really slowed down was when you were zooming in on his face for ages.
P.s. did I see a note say "Ska = Amazing?" Lol. yay

xthesnarfx responds:

I will admit I had no idea for what to put there so I just stuck that in it. Thanks

unpolished but witty

I liked it, although Im not familiar with either products, it still made me smirk. And it may not have been the most well executed toon ever, it did do what it was meant to. Good job.

DAGamesOfficial responds:

thanx man :D well cilit bang consists of a shouty presenter, and flash is a sort of UK cleaning utility in the past, dont know if it exists still, but ah well xP

nice

Dude, that character was awesome. Did you trace an image? and if so, how, free hand or did you let flash trace it?
Anyway, although this isn't very original(animator vs animation), it had kick ass amounts of class and style, which just made it so much better.

Fierras responds:

I filmed myself and then rotoscoped the frames that were needed for the animation.

Tnx for the review.

I want to make stories and music that mean something. I have a passion to bring messages to people that will inspire, and build them up. Also stories that completely go against the norm. I want to make Christian toons that are a bit edgy.
