getting there!

Sweet! I don't remember those strings there last time, that started up at about 1:50 and all the other buzzy bits. That adds good ambience. And ritheguardians right, the drums do compliment the piano. Perhaps drop the piano for a little while and do some sort of breakdown or something would break up the repititiousness.
Don't kill me for asking but it sounds very final fantasiesh. If you changed the name to something final fantasy themed this would get a million views and front page in no time. The anime games rule NG secretly. Lol.
Its cool to see you responded so quickly and improve your stuff! Props bro. Tell me when you release stuff ai!

you know what, on my myspace, someone left me a comment asking me if I got this of an rpg. I'm gonna have to investigate the source of this sample. I got it of a japanese rap group called RIP SLYME. I'm gonna download the final fantasy soundtracks and see if I can find the whole version. then Ithink I could make this song right. thanks for the review. I'm actually still working out a lot of little things with this beat. LMAO I used a light saber sound effect in my sweep. I don't know why, but it actually worked. This song needs a better bass line. I can never get basses to sound good for some reason. It's probably because I love the sound of bass guitars and can never get that sound with synths.

I didn't really enjoy it a lot. But I see where your going with it. Maybe a little to annoying for a mario game, but at least your trying something different. All the different instruments doing their thing made it sound complex and a bit snazzy.

I think it would be better if it wasn't peaking so much, and maybe a different choice of instruments. The orchestration was ok, just needs better mixing bro.

much thanks for the input. and yea i usually dont put enough effort in the mixing phase. which is kinda stupid cause thats a vital stage. but most of my songs i make in one nite so i get too tired to mix that well.

It didn't really build up the way I thought it would. The clicking was also a little to repetitive for me. Maybe turning up the other instruments would spiced up a bit more. They seemed a little shy. But it definatly conveyed the feeling of insomnia well. And I'm not saying that in a smart ass sort of way. Its cool when people can generate a certain mood in their music.

I did use a sample, but it was built upon, and no I dont mean adding a few notes here or there, and the drum beat was made in piano roll, I didnt say it was an elaborate song, just liked the way it sounded ^-^
